How to Export Salesforce Data to Excel: The Secure Way (2026 Guide)
If you are a Salesforce Admin or Data Analyst, you know the pain. You run a query in Workbench, get a massive JSON response, and now you need it in Excel.
You search "JSON to Excel" and find dozens of free tools. Stop right there.
Most of those tools require you to upload your file to their server. If that file contains PII (Personally Identifiable Information)—names, emails, revenue numbers, opportunity details—you are potentially violating GDPR, CCPA, and your company's internal data security policies by uploading it to an unknown third-party server.
